Dan and Blair

They're the epitome of perfection that I just had to make this entry.

If you're following Gossip Girl, you'll know that Dan and Blair (DAIR) started in Mid-season 4. And maybe even before that. Maybe there truly was something in them way back their hallway confrontation scene in the first season. If you've seen the latest episode (5x02), you'll see how much they've grown as friends, and more importantly, as humans.

Dan sure is in love with her, but she has no idea. And no matter what Blair chooses to do, he's just there for her. Start watching at 4x13 and you'll know what I mean. :D

Sure, it was given (or some believed and still do) that Chair had an abusive, on-off relationship. But let's take the immaturity of their relationship away. What do you think would be left? Would Chair still make the cut to be compared to what Blair and Dan acquired through the years? You may say I'm bias, but the answer to my question will always be a no.

If you say I'm wrong with what I believe in, it's either you haven't seen and understood 4x12 until 5x02 yet... or you're just too blinded by Chuck - in many ways.

I've always liked their hallway scene in Season 1 and kind of think what might have been, what could have been if it was them. Blair used to loathe Brooklyn Humphrey, and look at them now - perfection.

(Season 1, Episode 4) Dan Humphrey reasoning to his Dad about why it might not work with Serena: "Well, uh, she's best friends with this girl, Blair Waldorf, who is basically everything I hate about the Upper East Side distilled into one 95-pound, doe-eyed, bonmot-tossing, label-whoring package of girly evil."

(Season 4, Episode 18) Dan Humphrey telling Chuck Bass why the latter should not mess with Blair's life-changing kiss: "With you, she was always caught up in schemes and takedowns, but that's not really her. She's intelligent, she's intuitive. You know, she weeps when she watches Nights of Cabiria. The point is, Blair's happy. I mean, maybe you should let her be."

Josh Safran, creator of Gossip Girl said that 'it is not necessarily romantic' with Dan and Blair. But the writers tweeted something and made it easier for us to understand what Safran meant by his words:

"A wise person once said: Not all romances have to be romantic. They can be passionate, secret, dark, twisted, fun, fast... or dare we even say it, unrequited. But that doesn't make them any less real."

Gossip Girl: "Maybe it's not blood bonds that make us a family. Perhaps it's the people who know our secrets and love us anyway, so we can finally be ourselves."

Blair: What if I lose everything?
Dan: You'll still have me.

If they say Chair has true love, then what even more perfect word would describe these two?
