Eastern Glow

So there's this song, which sums up pretty much everything about a story I have in mind, called Eastern Glow. It's not wordy, but with just a few verses... it tells everything. All credits to The Album Leaf for coming up with such an amazing song. I first heard it on The O.C. when Marissa called Ryan(who was in Chino with a pregnant Theresa) in the middle of the night. No words were heaved, but with just one moment, he knew instantly that it was Marissa on the other line. No words were exchanged, but their every thoughts had been communicated. The looks on their faces, the longing... everything.

It was(and is) probably my favorite O.C. moment. A lot of people criticized Ryan and Marissa, and I feel like I'm one of the few who feels them and who feels for them. Because they connect to each other even though they came from two different worlds. They found peace and sought refuge from each other.

So yeah, Eastern Glow pretty much sums up a story I want to share. It involves an ensemble cast, and it will be about everything: friendship, love, family, youth, loss, gain, searching, finding... just probably everything. Here's the beautiful lyrics of the song:

One by one
We force ourselves
Turn it on

It comes in waves

Try to find

Maybe this time

Don't turn your head

It's easy to forget how we were

Once inside

We've made it here

We struggle with the lights

They never go away

What have we learned

It's the same old things

That drive us here

And never go away

We are changed

Through the tides

Make your way

You'll find the time

A comfort inside

Here I wait

In the safe place

Where we were so many years ago

So many years ago

One by one

We close our eyes

And return to that place

As a thousand nights go by

One by one

We close our eyes

And return to that place

And a thousand nights went by

And this is the epic scene I'm talking about:

So far, I only have names and a-still-disoriented plot. Buh bye.
