Quirky
I love watching movies, but I don't think I can consider myself as one to participate in a movie marathon with people. When you're in a movie marathon, at least for me, you all have this agreement, you know? To some extent, you all have a level of pre-liking(yes, I made this up, hehe) for the movies you're about to watch. Or maybe that's just me. I love to watch films, and I don't wanna ruin the fun for people so I just really tend to watch alone. I have a weird taste in movies; I like the quirky genre. And I don't think that's something people would put up for. I may be alone in this, but it's kinda hard for others to like the quirky genre. Trust me, I have tried so hard in making my friends and relatives watch my type of movies, and it just ends up with them texting or constantly leaving the room to pee or do something or whatever. And to be honest, it frustrates me. How could they not like it? Quirky doesn't really mean a particular thing, honestly. If I were to describe it, I'd just come up with two words: weird and homey. I don't know, that's what comes to mind when I think of quirky. Maybe I'm weird.
I hope you guys are weird, too, because these are some of the quirky movies I loved watching:
Dakota Skye
Who wouldn't love to have the super power of knowing the truth behind all the lies? Dakota has that. She always finds herself being lied to until she meets Jonah. The ever-truthful Jonah. And because of that, wonderful things happen. :D
Jeff, Who Lives at Home
If you haven't seen this, then you gotta be kidding me. It's Jason Segel and Ed Helms in one film. Segel and Helms. How could you not have seen this yet? Jeff (Segel) is an unemployed stoner searching for his destiny in the randomness of the world. I mean Jason Segel, stoner, destiny, randomness? Uh, yes, please.
Lars and the Real Girl
It's Ryan Gosling like you've never seen him. You're gonna cry and laugh a lot, I promise. This movie is crazy. Crazy is good. Good is when you watch this.
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
Michael Cera, Kat Dennings, New York City, one fateful night, and music. Who wouldn't love that? And of course it's mandatory that the soundtrack is amazeballs. Go see this now.
Little Miss Sunshine
I have so much love for this movie. It's about a dysfunctional family driving off to California to get their little Olive to a beauty contest. Things unfold and let me tell you, IT IS ALL THINGS MAGICAL.
The posters are nice, no? :)
